For each container entering and leaving the depot, a rigorous inspection process is undertaken based on international ISO standards, for which any defects identified is required to be reported to the respective container owners, ensuring appropriate repairs are undertaken to the containers for continued safe use.
The Challenge
The customer, a renowned player within the depot industry, was found to face several challenges stemming from the use of manual paper-based checklist and surveying method for the inspection process, resulting in:

Lower operational efficiency resulting from multiple paperwork required for documentation
Limited governance and insights on inspection process, impacting quality control

To address these challenges, the customer deployed Arka Vision for Containers solution which involved the use of a mobile based application, enabled with AI to capture, analyse and report inspections in real time
How It Works
On-ground inspectors were provided with a step-by-step guidance through a simple and intuitive mobile application interface to capture and record defects, based on the defined ISO 7-point inspection checklist
Advanced AI model would then assist inspectors in real time during inspection, identifying defects and damages for reporting
All submitted data were then automatically categorized based on defined parameters for easy identification and access by operations teams, with automated management reports generated on inspections undertaken
